My perspective on filmmaking began to change when my wife, Aska, and I started documenting the everyday moments of our daughter, Nanami. Through those small, honest moments, I became more drawn to the quiet beauty of real connection, the glances, movement, atmosphere, and emotions that often pass unnoticed. That still shapes how I approach filmmaking today: with intention, feeling, and an appreciation for stories as they naturally unfold. Whether it’s an intimate elopement, a celebration with loved ones, or a quiet moment between two people, I aim to create films that feel honest, timeless, and personal.
